Winemaker Notes
A picture-perfect classic Cabernet. A bold, fruit forward Cabernet highlighted by cherry notes and embraced by black fruit that intermingle as it progresses through your palate to a smooth transitional finish. Cult is sourced from the Stag’s Ridge vineyard- the Foss and Guest Cottage benches, a true hillside representation. The 2016 Cult exhibits a perfect combination of power and finesse providing a long, tapered finish leaving a lasting impression on your palate and you’re senses, representing the true elite style of this elegant Cabernet. Enjoy this wine from 2020 thru 2034.
About Winery
Beau Vigne (Bo-Veenya) was founded in 2002 by Ed and Trish Snider. We are a small, family winery with a production of about 4,000 cases per year and are known for our Cabernets.
Our family’s roots run deep in the Napa Valley. Martin Garzoli, Ed’s grandfather, arrived in the Valley in 1913. He was a Swiss Italian who, in Italy, was trained in winemaking. Martin would work the Hayfields of Napa and Sonoma during the day and make wine in an old barn at night. Nearly 100 years later the Beau Vigne Family is still making wine.
Our vineyard goes by the name of Stags Ridge and is the benchmark and centerpiece of Beau Vigne. Stags Ridge Vineyard & Ranch is located on the Eastern edge of Napa, situated in the Atlas Peak appellation at the very top of Soda Canyon Road overlooking Pritchard Gap, Haystack, and Stagecoach Vineyards.
Beginning with only a few acres of planted vines in 2002, Stag’s Ridge is now comprised of nine acres (eight acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and one acre of Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot).
As the Beau Vigne brand has grown, so has the need for exceptional fruit. We have sourced from some of the best vineyards on the North Coast and Napa Valley such as Bacigalupi, Dutton Ranch, and Lewelling to maintain the level of quality our patrons expect from us.
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon with a 2% splash of Cabernet Franc, the very deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Cult is a little closed to begin, giving way to very youthful blackcurrants, blackberries and warm plums notes plus touches of pencil shavings, spice box, garrigue, black olives and a waft of cinnamon stick.
The palate is full, very firm and very fresh with loads of black and blue fruit layers, finishing long and earthy. 425 cases produced
