Oakville, Napa Valley
At 1,000 to 1,400 feet above sea level, the Oakville Ranch Vineyard looks west over Napa Valley. This high elevat exposure, in combination with soils of clay over volcanic rock, produce the rich, powerfully structured wines the one of the most sought-after in California for Cabernet Sauvignon.
94 POINTS International Wine Report
The Sojourn Napa Valley Cabernet is a lovely effort that is brought up in 75% new French oak and rests 20 months in barrel. It reveals a deep purple color as well as a fantastic bouquet of black plum, cassis, a touch of jalapeno pepper, dark chocolate, dried rose petals, and dried mint aromas on the nose. A lovely palate of fresh blackberry, wet loamy earth, and white pepper merge with the elevated acidity, high - but not overpowering - tannins, and a solid lengthy finish.
93 POINTS Jeb Dunnuck
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is sunny with cassis, violet candy, and sweet tobacco. The palate is full gripping structure that lifts cleanly off the palate. Black plum and graphite fill out the mid-palate, with dried herbs on the finish
