Ingredients
Turkey
Cheese Sauce (or Cheddar Cheese)
2 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp Flour
1 cup milk
2 cups freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese
Sliced Tomato
Bacon
Brown GravyBrioche buns
Step 1
Make the cheese sauce:
Place a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat and melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and slowly whisk in the milk. Add in the cheese and mix until the cheese is melted. Turn heat to low and stir occasionally
Step 2
Preheat the broiler or a toaster oven
Arrange buns on a small baking sheet. Arrange turkey on the buns and add tomato slices
Spoon over the cheese sauce and place the open-faced sandwiches under the broiler for 2-5 minutes
Top with a slice of bacon and service it warm
Step 3
Take the turkey and cheese and place them lightly on the toasted bread
Top with two slices of tomato and bacon
Finish with a slather of gravy over the top to complete this open-faced sandwich
