About Winery

Beau Vigne (Bo-Veenya) was founded in 2002 by Ed and Trish Snider. We are a small, family winery with a production of about 4,000 cases per year and are known for our Cabernets.
Our family’s roots run deep in the Napa Valley. Martin Garzoli, Ed’s grandfather, arrived in the Valley in 1913. He was a Swiss Italian who, in Italy, was trained in winemaking. Martin would work the Hayfields of Napa and Sonoma during the day and make wine in an old barn at night. Nearly 100 years later the Beau Vigne Family is still making wine.

Our vineyard goes by the name of Stags Ridge and is the benchmark and centerpiece of Beau Vigne. Stags Ridge Vineyard & Ranch is located on the Eastern edge of Napa, situated in the Atlas Peak appellation at the very top of Soda Canyon Road overlooking Pritchard Gap, Haystack, and Stagecoach Vineyards.
Beginning with only a few acres of planted vines in 2002, Stag’s Ridge is now comprised of nine acres (eight acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and one acre of Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot).
As the Beau Vigne brand has grown, so has the need for exceptional fruit. We have sourced from some of the best vineyards on the North Coast and Napa Valley such as Bacigalupi, Dutton Ranch, and Lewelling to maintain the level of quality our patrons expect from us.

ROBERT PARKER'S WINE ADVOCATE - 93+/100 POINTS
WINEMAKER NOTES:

2018 was a dream growing season and harvest for Napa Valley. An abundance of rain in February was followed by continuous days of sunshine and mild temperatures that made for uniform vines and even cluster growth. Cooler temperatures allowed us to pick when we wanted, without stress and under optimal conditions. The gift from Mother Nature translated to wines that not only have great concentration but also an amazing freshness.

ABOUT THE VINEYARDS:

The 2018 Signature Series Juliet Cabernet Sauvignon is Atlas Peak through and through. The rugged vineyard sits above the fog line on the western slopes of the Vaca Mountains and stretches to 2,500 feet in elevation. Influenced by the mountains, temperatures here average 10 degrees cooler than in the Stags Leap District. The volcanic soil characterizes the uniqueness of this crafted wine with impressive texture and density and that is as lush in style.

ON THE NOSE:  Boysenberries, kirsch, dark chocolates, blueberries, granular rock

ON THE PALATE: Savory blackberry fruit, maraschino cherry, fennel, graphite

BLEND: 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2%  Petit Verdot
