Winemaker Notes
A PEJU favorite, our 2013 Fifty/Fifty is a true cellar gem. Chewy with juicy blackberry and dark cherry, this wine is complex with subtle nuances of savory herbs, sweet spice, and peppercorn. Integrated layers of coffee, vanilla, cocoa, and brown sugar enchant the palate while smooth tannins coat the mouth and keep you reaching for more. This wine is elegant and delicious now and will continue to mature for the next 5- 7 years.

Wine Enthusiast
A sizable percentage of Merlot is blended in here, as well as much smaller amounts of Petit Verdot, Zinfandel and Malbec. Together, they work, offering a lushness of blackberry jam and chocolate in a medium-bodied package that's smooth, with just the slightest tension of tannin and tobacco.

James Suckling
A refined wine with currant and berry character plus hints of lavender. Medium body, fine tannins and a fresh finish. Very pretty. Drink or hold.
