Tasting Notes
"A catchy, tropical and syrupy aroma: three tons of canned lychee, peach, jasmine, honey, longan, mango. The palate has a noticeable buttery sweetness. A purely tropical explosion, tonally echoing the nose. For the northern Gewürz, the ripeness is beyond belief."
History
Sheldrake Point Winery is named for the prominent point of land on which it sits, located on the western shore of Cayuga Lake. The 155-acre lakeside property, left to languish in the mid-1980s, caught the attention of a small group of wine enthusiasts who purchased the land and founded the winery in 1997.

Exceptionally voluptuous in body and frame, this 14% abv Gewürztraminer is a bit brawny in style. Soft acidity and intense ripeness lend a glycerine cling to sunny tangerine and lychee on the palate. The finish is long but with a touch of heat that lingers. — Anna Lee C. Iijima
