2019 Kistler Chardonnay McCrea Vineyard Sonoma Mountain
-
S$19897
Vintage: 2019
Region: Sonoma Mountain AVA
Country: USA
Winemaker Notes
Green-tinged, pale yellow. Elevated and elegant perfumes of both fresh morning citrus blossom and just peeled citrus rind that are so unique to McCrea. Perfectly ripe stone fruits woven with chalk undertones lead to an approach that fills and cleanses the palate transitioning to a finish that is luxurious, long and lasting. A bright acid driven return lifts the slightly supple textural aspects of the wine and is a clear marker of the vintage.

I always love the Chardonnay from this site, and the 2019 Chardonnay McCrea Vineyard doesn't disappoint, offering incredible purity, precision, and obvious minerality. More white peach, lemon, white flowers, and crushed stone notes emerge from the glass, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a layered, mineral-laced mouthfeel, a touch of toasted nuts on the palate, and a fabulous finish. It's another incredible wine from winemaker Jason Kesner that will evolve for 10-15 years in cold cellars.

Some beautiful mango and papaya character to the tropical character here. Medium to full body. Phenolic tension frames it nicely and then gives a light and clear flintlock flavor at the end. Lemon curd here, too. Drink or hold

Offers buttered, salted toffee and toasted almond flavors, which add a rich thread to the core of juicy, fleshy pear, peach and papaya. Reveals a touch of aromatic white flowers and a savory thread of acidity. Drink now
