-
S$12999
Vintage : 2015
Country : USA
Region : Napa Valley
Rolando began producing Syrah for his own personal enjoyment and has proven that it can flourish in the Napa Valley. He creates his Syrah as a marriage of the beloved Rhone style with a touch of Napa personality.
A perfect vintage despite the continued drought conditions. Slightly cooler and drier than in recent vintages, veraison, and subsequently harvest, came early but with plenty of hang-time to develop their flavors. The result was beautifully concentrated fruit of outstanding quality.
Our Syrah has deep and dark fl avors that are accentuated by the vanilla and spice attributes influenced by 55% new French oak. With 20 months of barrel aging, the tannins have so[ ened to create a luscious, round body.
Winemaker Notes
A deep inky color, this wine exudes aromas of dark fruit, espresso, cassis, vanilla, and a touch of saddle leather. A rich entry with flavors of dark chocolate, tobacco, and juicy dark cherry, it has a balanced acidity that finishes with hints of baking spice, anise and cigar box, leaving a supple, long-lasting impression on the finish.

This wine pairs well with rich, hearty, meats such as lamb, barbecue, game and sausages. For a cheese course, try Abbaye de Belloc, a sheeps milk cheese with a mild, nu y fl avor.

90 Points, Wine Enthusiast
This is a 100% varietal wine from fruit grown in Coombsville and Oak Knoll. Leather, oak, blueberry and dark cherry combine around powerfully supple tannin and underling acidity. Lasting notes of dark chocolate and vanilla provide a lasting richness. — Virginie Boone
