Winemakert Notes
Beringer Founders' Estate Chardonnay opens with inviting, fragrant aromas of ripe orchard pear, crisp yellow apple, and sweet honeysuckle, complemented by notes of tropical pineapple, toasted almond, and a touch of nutmeg. On the palate, this medium-bodied California white delivers a beautiful harmony of crisp fruit flavors—highlighted by green apple, citrus, and stone fruit—alongside a subtly rich, creamy texture gained from partial oak aging. Perfectly balanced between bright, refreshing acidity and a soft, smooth mouthfeel, it concludes with a clean, lingering finish touched by gentle vanilla and delicate spice.

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve is a beautifully balanced wine. Firm yet well-integrated tannins frame a core of dark red berries, flowers, mint, spices and licorice. The Reserve shows lovely inner perfume and mid-palate juiciness. It should drink well with a minimum of cellaring. The main vineyards in the 2009 are Home (37%), Lampyridae (23%), Vogt (14%), Chabot (11%) and Rancho del Oso (9%). Each lot was aged separately for about two years before the final blend was assembled.
