Silver Ghost is a full-bodied and richly expressive Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyards. Dark in color with a vibrant nose of blueberries, violets and crème de cassis the palate reveals lush red and blue fruits, mocha and dark spice. The luxurious texture and depth continue through the long finish.
About Winery
Silver Ghost founder Weston Eidson’s great-grandfather, John Montagu, was an automobile pioneer at the turn of the last century. Being a British Lord and in Parliament, he was instrumental in much of the early automotive legislation and even gave the future Edward VII his first car ride (as seen in this photo). He was friends with Charles Rolls and Henry Royce, and his assistant served as the model for the Rolls-Royce hood ornament, the Spirit of Ecstasy, which we still see on Rolls-Royce cars today. Silver Ghost derives its name from John Montagu’s favorite car, the 1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. And like its name, the wine itself is filled with layers of richness, culture and authenticity.

This red is ripe and spicy on the nose with notes of blueberries and cassis, licorice, vanilla and coffee. Full-bodied and rich with ripe, mellow fruit. The round tannins turn firm at the end. Savory aftertaste. Better after 2023.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with soaring floral and savory overtones. Inky, deep and flavorful, this dense yet mid-weight Cabernet delivers the goods. I would prefer to drink it on the young side, while the inky, jammy fruit remains vibrant. Best After 2024
