2020 Michael David Earthquake Zinfandel 750mlx2
Vivino 4.1
"This rich, burly Zinfandel offers over the top concentration and intensity that will leave your taste buds trembling! Opening with luscious red fruit and brown sugar aromas, this full-bodied Zin overflows with strawberry jam, molasses and vanilla bean flavors carried though by a fruit laced finish that lingers until the next quake."
2018 Michael David Lodi Lodi Zin Old Vine Zinfandel 750mlx2
Vivino 4.0
"Part of our Lodi lineup, Lodi Zinfandel is pale ruby in color and filled with aromas of juicy raspberry, tobacco and toasted oak on the nose. Medium bodied and food-friendly, flavors of blackberry, plum and clove lead to a balanced, oak-inspired finish."
2018 Carter Cellars Weitz Cabernet Sauvignon JD 96 "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Weitz Vineyard comes from a site in the northern part of the valley and more red, volcanic soils. It reminds me of the 2016 with its iron/iodine-like character as well as beautiful mulled red and black fruits, Asian spices, chocolate, and loamy earthy aromas and flavors. This big, rich, opulent beauty has sweet tannins, a rocking mid-palate, and a great finish. It’s already impossible to resist yet has two decades of longevity ahead of it." |
2018 J Lohr Estate Seven Oak Cabernet Sauvignon
WE 91
"Seven Oaks' offers velvety richness and supple tannins. Dense and soft, this wine boasts ripe flavors of black currant and cherry, enhanced by a bouquet of vanilla and spice from one year of barrel aging, and is an excellent companion to grilled beef, lasagna, or dark chocolate."
2020 DAOU Pessimist
JD 92
"The 2020 Pessimist presents intense aromas of blueberry, cherry, plum and strawberry with undercurrents of lavender and kirsch. The nose evolves with layers of warm leather, truffle, pipe tobacco, black pepper and allspice. Rich and weighty on the palate, this wine delivers a no-holds-barred generosity of bold fruit flavors—boysenberry, blackberry, cassis and plum, underlain by notes of rhubarb, pomegranate and damp forest floor. Subtle hints of black olives, mushroom and tamarind spice concisely complement the balanced and well-rounded flavor profile. A persistent, elegant finish lingers with red cherry and cranberry tones highlighted by hints of dark chocolate."
2019 J Lohr Hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon
WE 93
"The 2019 J. Lohr Hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon is exceptionally dark in color with aromas of blackberry, black currant, and toasted pastry crust. Dense and soft on the palate, with elegant layers of black and red currants leaving a bright finish."
2021 J Lohr Pure Paso Proprietary Red Wine
WE 93
"Savory varietal notes of Cabernet Sauvignon are layered with the dark fruit character of Petite Sirah. The bouquet of cocoa powder, caramel, and anise works in harmony with the black cherry fruit signature of this wine. Bright and focused on the palate, with a firm and appetizing finish."
2020 Synthesis Cabernet Sauvignon by Martin Ray
JS 93
"High-toned tart cherry, on a core of under ripe raspberry and hibiscus tea. Herbaceous and taut, with touches of orange zest, mountain sage, and dried rose petals. Fleshy, with silky fine-grained tannins layered over vibrant acidity with hints of vanilla and fresh clove on the finish."
2019 Sojourn Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
JD 93
"In 2019 we produced Cabernet Sauvignon from three vineyards in Oakville to create this robust and generous Cabernet Sauvignon. This blend is dominated by Oakville Ranch Vineyard. Located in the hills among famous neighbors Dalla Valle, Pedregal and Backus vineyards, Oakville Ranch produces powerful, rich, structured wines. Cabernet Sauvignon wines from two other vineyards along Skellenger Lane were blended in to add expressive fruit character and lush tannins. The resulting wine offers layers of dark red and blue fruit flavors with hints of cocoa and dried herbs. This is a rich and vibrant wine that can be enjoyed now, yet will age for 15+ years."
